Legend
The Three River Sections
Upper Kenai
Kenai Lake → Skilak Lake
Non-motorized sanctuary with turquoise glacial water. Trophy Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and late-summer Sockeye. Access via the Kenai River Trail and Russian River Ferry.
Middle Kenai
Skilak Lake → Soldotna
The powerhouse stretch. Drift boats and power boats operate here. Primary location for Sockeye and Coho salmon. Most of our guided trips fish this section.
Lower Kenai
Soldotna → Cook Inlet
Where fresh fish first enter from saltwater — chrome-bright with sea lice. Tidal cycles dictate fish movement. Best for early-season King Salmon and ocean-fresh Coho.
