Legend
What Makes the Kasilof Different
Motor-Free River
No motors allowed. The Kasilof is a drift-boat-only river for its entire fishable length — quieter, less crowded, and a more intimate Alaska experience.
15-Mile One-Way Float
Launch near Tustumena Lake outlet, drift through remote wilderness, take out near the tidal flats. A full day of continuously changing water and scenery.
Hatchery Kings Stay Open
Because the primary Kasilof Kings are hatchery-origin (clipped adipose fin), the fishery often remains open during Kenai wild King conservation closures.
Fall Steelhead Corridor
As salmon runs wrap in September, wild Steelhead push into the Kasilof. Catch-and-release only. Fly fishing in gin-clear water with no one else around.
