Terms of Service

Last Updated: January 1, 2026

Welcome to Kenai Fishing. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (kenai.fishing) and your booking of guided fishing trips with us. By accessing our website or booking a trip, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payments

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total trip cost is required to secure your reservation dates.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due prior to departure on the day of your scheduled trip. We accept cash, major credit cards, and approved digital payments.
  • Rates: All posted rates are subject to change without notice prior to booking. Once a deposit is received, your rate is locked in.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Client Cancellations: If you must cancel your trip, your deposit is non-refundable. However, if you provide more than 30 days notice, we will make every effort to apply your deposit to a rescheduled date within the same season, subject to availability.
  • Weather/Safety Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to unsafe weather, dangerous river conditions, or other unforeseen safety hazards. In the event we must cancel for safety reasons, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
  • Regulatory Closures: Alaska Department of Fish & Game (ADF&G) frequently issues emergency orders. If a specific fishery is closed (e.g., King Salmon), we will transition your trip to an alternative species or location (e.g., Sockeye or Trout). Regulatory closures do not automatically entitle you to a refund if alternative high-quality fishing options are available.

3. Licenses and Regulations

  • Responsibility: Every angler aged 16 and older must possess a valid Alaska State sport fishing license. If targeting King Salmon, a King Salmon stamp is also required.
  • Compliance: You are responsible for obtaining your license prior to the trip. Guides cannot issue licenses on the water. Fishing without a valid license will result in immediate termination of your trip without a refund.
  • Regulations: Our guides strictly adhere to all ADF&G regulations. Clients must follow guide instructions regarding catch limits, legal gear, and catch-and-release practices.

4. Health, Safety, and Liability

  • Risk: Fishing in Alaska involves inherent risks, including but not limited to unpredictable weather, wildlife encounters, and swift river currents. By booking a trip, you acknowledge and assume these risks.
  • Waiver: All clients will be required to sign a standard liability waiver prior to departing on the water.
  • Guide Authority: The guide has absolute authority on the boat. Unsafe behavior, severe intoxication, or failure to follow instructions may result in the immediate termination of the trip without a refund.

5. Media Release

During your trip, we may take photographs or videos of your experience and your catch. By booking a trip, you grant Kenai Fishing the right to use these images for promotional purposes, including website content and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your guide prior to departure.

6. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
