Full-Day Fishing Trips
Our full-day trips run 8–10 hours and are designed for anglers who want maximum time on the water. You'll fish the prime windows of the day when salmon are most active, with a mid-day break for shore lunch. Full days are ideal for targeting multiple species or exploring different stretches of the river.
8-10 Hours
A full day on the water with your guide, covering prime morning and evening bites.
Multi-Species
Target salmon, rainbow trout, and Dolly Varden in a single trip.
Shore Lunch
Take a break on the bank with a riverside meal before the afternoon push.
From the River
The Ultimate Kenai River Experience
A full-day fishing trip is the absolute standard for experiencing the best of what the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. With 8 to 10 hours on the water, you aren't rushed. You have the time to cover miles of river, target multiple species, and truly immerse yourself in the Alaskan wilderness without constantly checking the clock.
Why Choose a Full Day?
Fishing conditions in Alaska can change rapidly based on tides, weather, and fish movement. A full day gives your guide the flexibility to adapt to the river. If the morning bite is slow, you have the entire afternoon to find active fish. If one species isn't cooperating, you have the time to switch tactics, change gear, and target another.
- Multi-Species Targeting: Spend the morning filling your cooler with limit-class Sockeye salmon, and spend the afternoon catch-and-release fishing for trophy Rainbow Trout.
- Cover More Water: Drift long stretches of the Kenai or Kasilof River, taking in diverse scenery and fishing dozens of different gravel bars, seams, and holding waters.
- Pacing: A full day allows for a relaxed, authentic pace. We can pull the boat over, enjoy a riverside shore lunch, stretch our legs, and take in the wildlife.
The Classic Shore Lunch
One of the defining highlights of a full-day trip is the traditional Alaskan shore lunch. Depending on the trip style and daily regulations, your guide may pull over to a secluded gravel bar and prepare fresh-caught salmon right on the riverbank, served alongside hearty sides. It's an authentic experience you simply won't get on shorter half-day sprints.

What to Expect
Your day will start early—typically meeting your guide at the boat launch just as the sun comes up to beat the crowds and catch the morning bite. We provide all the premium G.Loomis rods, Shimano reels, tackle, and bait you'll need.
At the end of the 8-10 hour float, your guide will expertly fillet and bag your catch, ready for you to take to a local processor for vacuum sealing and flash freezing.
