Fishing Intelligence
Remote Halibut Grounds
The deep water halibut grounds south of Seldovia produce trophy-sized fish. Slack water near the tidal turn produces the most bites on these remote reefs.
Seldovia Slough Dolly Varden
The Seldovia Slough and surrounding creeks hold excellent Dolly Varden char populations. Tides affect fish movement through the slough system dramatically.
Silver Salmon
Silver Salmon move through the Seldovia area in August. Tide timing determines when schools are accessible from shore or small boats near the Seldovia Bay entrance.
